GRUNT Customer Checklist

Before You Request a GRUNT

Please review these requirements before placing your order. Following this checklist helps your GRUNT driver complete your delivery quickly and without delays.

!
Please review before requesting a GRUNT.

A little preparation before your driver arrives can prevent pickup delays, loading issues, canceled deliveries, and unnecessary wait time.

💬

Stay Available & Respond to Your Driver

Please keep your phone nearby while your GRUNT is in progress.

If your driver sends you a question through the GRUNT in-app messaging feature, please respond as quickly as possible. Your driver may need clarification about the order, pickup, loading, delivery location, or another issue before they can continue.

A quick response helps prevent unnecessary delays and keeps your delivery moving.
🚙

One Driver + One Vehicle

Your GRUNT includes one independent driver using their own vehicle.

The customer is responsible for arranging any additional help needed to load or unload oversized, bulky, or heavy items.

GRUNT provides the driver and vehicle. Additional loading or unloading labor is the customer's responsibility when needed.
🏋️

Heavy Items — 50+ LBS & Large Quantities

GRUNT drivers are individuals of various ages and physical abilities.

Do not assume your driver will be able to lift or unload heavy items alone or unload large quantities of heavy or bulky items.

For individual items weighing approximately 50 lbs or more, or orders containing large quantities of heavy or bulky items, the customer is responsible for making sure someone is available to assist with unloading at the delivery location.

At pickup, most suppliers can assist with loading, but the customer should confirm this when necessary.

📦

Make Sure Your Order Is Ready

Do not request a GRUNT until the supplier confirms your order is ready for pickup.

Submitting a GRUNT before the order is ready can cause unnecessary driver wait times, delays, or problems completing your delivery.

Ready means the supplier has confirmed the order can be released when your GRUNT driver arrives.
⏱️

Driver Wait Time

GRUNT is designed for quick pickup and delivery—not extended waiting at the supplier.

Your order should be ready for pickup when the GRUNT driver arrives.

If the supplier cannot locate the order, says it is not ready, or there is another issue preventing pickup, the driver may contact you for assistance.

If an order requires an extended wait, the driver may need to leave and the delivery may need to be canceled.

📲

Share Order Details, Photos & Pickup Codes

Once a driver accepts your order, use the GRUNT in-app messaging feature to send them any additional information they may need to complete the pickup.

  • Additional order or pickup instructions
  • Order numbers or confirmation details
  • Photos or screenshots
  • Pickup location details
  • Supplier contact information or special instructions
  • Barcodes or QR codes required to retrieve the order
Many national retailers provide a barcode or QR code with online orders. Send a screenshot to your driver so store staff can scan it and quickly retrieve the correct order.

The more information your driver has before arriving, the smoother your pickup will be.

Add GRUNT as an Authorized Pickup Person

When ordering online or by phone, some suppliers require you to provide the name of the person who will pick up the order.

If the supplier asks you to add an additional or authorized pickup person, please enter:

First Name GRUNT
Last Name DELIVERY

This helps the supplier identify your GRUNT driver as the person authorized to pick up your order.

Before You Hit “Request GRUNT”
